Invention #6 from the book of J.S. Bach’s
Two-Part Inventions Five-ified which have been metrically modified in favor of five by composer John Eidsvoog.
Bach’s original version of this invention was in 3/8 time, but John has surgically removed a 16th note from each bar, leaving us in 5/16 time (five 16th notes per measure).
Bach’s playful 32nd-note figures now take on a new twist. The result is a refreshing, remodeling of this famous 2-part invention!
